Recipe: Homemade Lemon Iced Tea

Makes 1 liter bottle #vegetarian #veggie #vegan #refreshing

Ingredients
• Loose tea leaves - 2 tsp
• Lemon - 1/2
• Sugar - 5 to 10 tsp
• Baking powder - a pinch
See equipment needed at the bottom
• First make a pot of tea and leave it to brew for a few minutes.
• While it's brewing squeeze the lemon juice into a jug.
• Pour in tea and add the baking powder (helps neutralise the tannins to give it a smoother flavour).
• Add the sugar spoon by spoon until you are happy with the level of sweetness then leave it to cool.
• Once it's cool enough pour into the bottle and place in the fridge.
• Serve with ice and a lemon slice.
Equipment:
• Kettle or pan to boil water
• Teapot with diffuser
• Jug 1L
• Spoon
• 1L bottle
